Privacy

Last updated 13 August 2026

We’re a cafe, not a data company. This page explains — in plain English — what happens to the details you give us when you ask for a table.

The short version: we use your booking details to confirm your table, and nothing else. We don’t sell them, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

What we collect

The booking form on this website doesn’t send us anything by itself. It simply writes out a text message for you — on a phone it opens your Messages app with the booking ready to go, and on a computer it shows you the message to send yourself. Nothing is transmitted until you press send.

So what reaches us is a text message from you, containing:

If you’d rather call, that works exactly the same way.

How we use it

Only to confirm and hold your booking, and to contact you if something changes on the day. That’s the entire purpose. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Who else touches it

Your booking details go straight from your phone to ours as an ordinary text message. There’s no booking system, no form service and no database in between — which means there’s no third party holding your details at all.

Two services are involved in simply showing you this website:

Neither of those sees your booking. This website does not use advertising trackers, and we don’t run analytics or set cookies of our own.

How long we keep it

Your booking sits in the cafe phone’s text messages, the same as any other text. We clear out old ones periodically, and we don’t keep a customer database.

Seeing or deleting your details

Ask us and we’ll tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Just call 0405 990 922 or have a word with us in the cafe — Shop 9 / 120 Marine Parade, Coolangatta QLD 4225.

A note on Australian privacy law

As a small business we sit below the turnover threshold that makes the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) compulsory. We’ve written this page anyway, because you deserve to know what happens to your details. If our obligations change, we’ll update this page.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we’ll revise this page and update the date at the top.
